This Thanksgiving season we at Sovereign Global Advisors contributed to an International initiative to aid refugees across the globe and starving families in crisis areas, such as Nigeria and South Sudan. We picked out three programs to allocate our donation to: Purchasing and distributing emergency stoves, emergency meals for malnourished children, and providing baby goats to families.
The emergency stoves provide refugees the ability to boil their own water to make it safe for drinking, as well as to cook meals for their family, catering to the strengthening of their family unit in this time of dire crisis.
The emergency, therapeutic, meals are protein-rich and vitamin-packed to help feed malnourished children in areas of food crises. The packets require no preparation and are able to be directly distributed to children in need.
Baby goats provided to families give them access to fresh, nutrient-rich goat's milk at a time when food is scarce. It also gives them access to sustainable income as families can sell the milk as well.
